Whitey B-14DKM4 is a brass integral-bonnet needle valve from the Swagelok D Series. It provides precise manual flow metering and repeatable leak-tight shutoff for liquid or gas lines. Both inlet and outlet are 1/4 in. Male NPT. This valve is not compatible with Swagelok tube compression fittings or BSP/ISO threads without adapters.
Is brass suitable for my application?
Brass is appropriate for many hydraulic, pneumatic, and instrumentation applications. It is not recommended for corrosive chemicals or ultra-high purity gas service where stainless steel (SS-14DKM4) or Monel (M-14DKM4) would be required.
What is the temperature limit for this valve?
The PCTFE soft seat limits service to 200°F (93°C). Applications above that temperature require a PEEK or metal-to-metal seat variant.
Is this the straight or angle pattern?
Straight pattern. The angle pattern variant carries an "-A" suffix (B-14DKM4-A), which this unit does not have.
