Product Overview
There are three binary counters, three control registers, and a status register on the MC6840. Counters controlled by software can generate output signals or cause system interrupts. MC6840 can be used for tasks like frequency measurement, event counting, interval measurement, and more. Among its uses are square wave generation, gated delay signals, controlled pulse durations, and pulse width modulation, as well as system interrupts.
