Extreme Vibration Attenuation (EVA) is the latest in vibration dampening technology. Testing shows that the EVA pad outperforms rubber and cork by more than 3:1, and outperforms the "waffle" pad by more than 8:1.
A composite foam center boosts performance since it's more structurally sound than cork. It's much better at dampening vibrations than solid rubber because EVA isn't affected by oils or chemicals that break down cork.
